1.12.2012 - A New Year

So we begin a new year. Of course for me that means looking back over the past year and looking forward to what the future might hold. As I look back over 2011 it seems to have gone by so quickly and I found that as I examined my walk with Jesus this past year that it grew stagnant. Just floating through my daily existence. A Pastor recently said "We must be willing to make a CALCULATED and COMMITED change in our life." I want that to be me this year in many areas of my life, but especially in my walk with Jesus. He's to be at the center of our daily life, walking beside us no matter what the day holds. How can I not give him my all when He gave His own life for me? Won't you join me this year in putting Jesus at the center of your life and giving Him your all?

08.23.2010 - In the Midst of a Storm

When the winds begin to blow, the rain starts to pour, and the boat starts to rock, where do you go in the midst of the storm? Do you run and hide? Do you turn to something or someone to drown the pain or do you hit your knees?

In Matthew 8: 23-27 the Bible tells us the story of how Jesus calmed the storm

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

If Jesus has the power to calm the winds and the waves do you not believe He can calm the storm that you are in the midst of? We so often try to fix things ourself only to have the storm get violently worse. Let us hit our knees surrending our storm to Jesus Christ, the one that calms the winds and the waves. It is only from our knees that we find peace. Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

4.19.2009 - Romans Road to Salvation

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent.

Romans 6:23, teaches us about the consequences of sin - "For the wages of sin is death; BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death!

Romans 5:8 declares, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus' death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus' resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus' death as the payment for our sins.

Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - and we will be saved!

Romans 10:13 says it again, "for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God.

Romans 8:1 teaches us, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins. Finally, we have this precious promise of God from Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Would you like to follow the Romans Road to salvation? If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation! "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With your help, I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!"

4.16.2009 - Special CD Thanks!

First and foremost I’d like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without His grace and mercy I would still be lost and my eternal destination would be one of great pain and suffering. I have always dreamed of recording my own CD and it is only through Jesus that it has become a reality. He opened all the windows and doors to lead me down this wonderful road.

I’d like to thank my wonderful husband, and our beautiful daughter, who have both been such a support and encouragement to me. I love you both and thank God every day for the blessing of having you both in my life.

To my family and friends who have supported me and been there to pick me up when I didn’t think I was good enough to be doing this. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and friends whom I will cherish for the rest of my days.
